workmanship for as long as the original consumer owns the product.

At Kniclad’s option, defective product will be repaired, replaced, or substituted with a product of equal value. This warranty does not cover damaged product due to misuse or abuse, sharpening, normal wear and tear, accidental damage or industrial/commercial use.

For cutting tools: Kniclad shall in no event be liable for incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Warranty FAQ

Do I need to send my defective item into the factory?

No. At this time, you do not need to send items into the factory unless told to do so. This will likely only happen in the case of a custom item, or when a repair is authorized.

My product was lost or stolen. Will you replace it?

No. stolen or lost products are not covered under warranty. Kniclad warranty covers material and manufacturing defects.

Is my Customized item covered under warranty?

Yes. like all Gerber products, customized items are covered under the kniclad Guarantee.

What if the item I am hoping to replace is discontinued?

If the replacement item is discontinued, you will be given the option for a similar item as replacement

The black finish on my blade is peeling or coming off. Is there anything I can do? Will kniclad warranty the finish or refinish the product?

A black Teflon or black oxide coating is applied to specific knives for ornamental reasons. Continued rubbing on a sheath or pants pocket will cause the coating to wear through over time or contact with any metal objects will scratch the coating. Both are not considered Warranty defect.
